Well that seemed like a very appropriate way to respond to my post. True colors.
Don't have a clue what you are talking about, and don't really rember what you posted or said, and certainly not going to go back a re-read every thread, each day I respond. The only thing that matters, and I emphasize ONLY as the key word is Michael got to go on his trip with a New BDTM Sphynx 363R engine, and from what Michael has personally told me; it has been running awesome with NO issues, end of story. Carlos

We use a beam wrench we made that is very thin and about half the height of the Snap On wrench shown, as anyone that builds these type of engines knows, most wrenches will not work or fit well, a good example is the Motion Pro series...does not fit the small cykinder front bolt cavities.

Our thin Heat Treated wrench fits better than any other wrench we ever found, that is why we designed it very thin and made it. The Heat Treat gives it the strength needed to be as thin as it is and fit into the tight places it does....we never intended to sell these, and are not planning to do so now, we made it out of necessity.

Properly torquing the base and cylinder bolts is not an issue for BDTM....

Carlos could you post a pic or pm me pic of your torque wrench extension and how much +or - you add to torque per inch of extension . Reason I ask is think it would be cool to have a extension to retorque stud nuts with pipe in place aka bends around below pipe maybe 8 inch bent to 6 total extension . Think it would work ?

im going to go out on a limb here and mention that any time you stray too far from origional honda engineering your going to encounter problems. ask any decent builder to assemble you a well ported stock 250r cylinder and it will not have a single issue. i feel like when you step toward the extreme with these engines problems like this are more common than not and any builder willing to warranty a motor like that is pretty well confident in his work. im also sure that someone will eventually determine the root cause of this failure.

girls, girls..

I think it is a good idea, FYI...our wrench looks like a MP wrench, just a lot thinner to get into the nut front cavities. On a 30 lbs trQ setting like for the base nuts, our wrench is set to 25 lbs or 30 lbs = 25 lbs when torqueing down. Carlos

wolvman, after you make your adapter google the torque calculator because the torque change depends on the length of the adapter and the length the torque wrench, so just make sure so you don't over do it.

Thought I give an update, Ran about two and a half tanks through the new motor so far, everything still looks great checked stud bolts after ever tank and they havent moved at all. Can't pull 15/41 gearing so good one run on the hill it pulls fourth the next it won't and i'll have to shift down to 3rd. It was one of the faster quad at the hill but my buddy has a semi built LT500 mx ported on race gas crap pipe running 12/40 gearing and he pulls on me like i'm not even moving. Think i'm going to go back to 13/41 gearing wear I can probably pull 5th gear up the hill and see how that does, tried 14/41 and it would pull 4th wasy up hill but the lt still pulls on me from start to finish.

From what I know, based on what you told me about the hill you race at, the ground is not High Gear friendly. Also, if the LT500 is running 12/40 and moving with that ratio, it tells me a lower gearing will work better for you as well. Try a 13/41, then 13/38...PS: good to hear all the effort to get your engine out and in your hands ASAP paid off. Carlos

Mickkey - which hill is that in your picture - Jeep Hill? Have you run it up $100 hill yet?

Unless you've been to the cinders it is really hard to comprehend how big those hills are. Not to mention they are at 7-8k elevation and robbing power vs. Glamis at sealevel.

The cinders is probably the toughest place to test a motor out. Blew up my trx 450r motor there a few years ago...

Yeah this is jeep hill, didn't want to run hundred until I get some more time on the motor, probably run it this weekend. I hear you I've killed a lot of motors out here. Most people think its like sand but not even close if I run 13/41 gearing at glamis I'd stand straight up in the first 3 gears with plus 8 swingarm and then come back up to cinders and I can't wheelie to save my life. I'd really like to see a how a puma or saber would do on 100 dollar. Maybe one day.

I bet you would be faster with a pipe that made more torque than a drag pipe you need torque to pull hills fast like that doesn't look like you can get a run at the hill either
x2...we have a WURKS pipe in process for Michael, more torque, more HP...it's coming Michael...:D

I have heard from a few others, this is one tough hill, the grounds are hard on engines and rob a lot of Torque & HP...I don't feel the 13T is too small for the BDTM 363R Sphynx on this hill, might be just right, need to keep the engine in the power band, I would even try lower gearing to see how she responds, however; this is a high torque engine...
