Hello,
I am new to the forums and wanted to introduce myself. I have 4 quads, only one of which is a TRX250R. I just got it 2 weeks ago. I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem I do. I don't want to ride my 250r much because I am afraid of getting scratches on it. It has been a dream of mine to own one for a long time, and I finally found one in the condition I wanted. Now I am worried every time I even start it, that I am going to scratch the plastics, or the frame, or something else. Also, mine does not have any skid plates, and most places I go riding are very rocky (Rocky Ridge in Texas). I really like the way the 250r looks without skid plates, and am reluctant to change that. SO I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem I do? This is only one of my first world problems. LOL.

Just buy skid plates, and if your worried about plastics, pull your oem off and spend the 450 for new maiers you won't care about as much. To me it's dumb to not ride a quad because your worried about scratching it.

Well, lucky for me then, they are not OEM plastics. They are Maiers, but what about the OEM graphics? Or does someone make look-a-likes?

That's why I have my 400x, and other quads.
