compression test first to verify you motor still has good compression and not due for a new piston/ring/bore/hone

use the stock carb
low-mid pipe
aftermarket reed cage (mototassunari V2, boysen rad valve, etc.)
reed spacer (IDK, this used be used to increase low end, no idea these days if still considered good idea)
change head gasket out to a 85-88 (not sure years) CR250 head gasket (use copper spray to help sealing)
what tires are you running? might consider going to a 39-41 tooth rear sprocket if using 20" or taller tires
CR ignition conversion
89 clutch update, make sure your clutch springs/plates/basket are in good shape
swingarm bearings, axle bearings, wheel bearings, in good shape
change brake fluid/make sure calipers arent dragging
check toe-in
setup shocks

that should keep ya busy! :)

now thats what im talkng about thanks

pipe like mentioned esr has a good one for low end the trx7 i believe if you cant find the others

Higher comp head, if you are willing to run race gas you could see so good benfits from the compression & leaded race fuel.

A smaller carb like stock may also help vs a bigger carb the might be on there now

A woods/mx pipe would be your single best upgrade.

It might be a good idea to tell what exactly you have and what type of riding you like to do. Is the machine completely stock now or what?

ya its pretty much stock exept for k&n and air box lid is removed ..told its a bigger aftermarket carb but ..idk lol! ..tell ya the truth...not really set on one type of riding ..im on 68 acres and have a little bit of every thing, trails ...flats ..hill climbs etc.. guess im looking for a good all around performer ..i do want more power i do know that !
