Iv been there before me an my buddy got bored an went through town on 450s got a few cops after us got away they couldn't hang with us on the side roads my Buddy locked his 450r up an was hinding behind a very very small bush lol it was a rush out running the cops haha

true that, dont know about where you are but out here where im at, unregisterd impound is mandatory 30 days,(+-$$1000.00)also got to register w/ D.M.V. 1st, (more$),then pay the sherriffs fee(approx. $90.00), tow bill,(+-$100.00). been there it sucks, if you know someone time to call in your markers. good luck

Out of town - 30 minutes next town over. They have jurisdiction, yes.
And yes, I learned a lot from this. Next time I'm being chased I will NOT try to drive throw a huge snowdrift. I'll try my hardest to swing around and head for the next nearest getaway.
Seriously, it was bogus for them to tail me. Everyone with an ATV uses that road to get to the trail I was heading too. Our 'local' police and wildlife will wave as they pass you there. As they brought me to the station we even passed two utility bikes with woodcarts and firewood in tow - I said "So uh, what about those guys? They're on the same road!" The reply I got? "Those guys are just bringing home firewood - they aren't out joyriding" I said that was plain ignorant and I got back a "Look, we can't get everybody"
Fact is - I was riding a sports quad, a loud-ish 2 stroke sports quad. This situation was/is no different then the red sports car syndrome. And I've owned them too, I know it's true.

dude, somebody called on you. People can't just leave there opinions to them self's. I mean who where you endangering in the middle of a blizzard? Cops should not be a county over just to nail someone down for riding an atv in the snow, complete bs. And as for the other people giving you sh*t for this, like they have never rode there quads in the street during a snowstorm.

you can argue discrimination couldnt you? the cameras in the car would have picked up them saying those things about the other atv riders, that alone may be enough to get oyu out of a fine, seems like it would be worth a shot
Hi. Good thought - but - as far as I could tell there was no windsheild mounted camera anywhere in that Jeep.
And for the record guys - I was not and am not bragging about this and I knew full well before posting it that I would get flack from people because of it. It's ok. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

The video, if it ever gets back in my hands, could be interesting or a total flop. This was the first time I had ever mounted the gopro facing 'rearwards' and it was to be a test ride to see how to properly mount it to get a good rear facing shot. I had pointed it pretty damn low on the mount because a lot of time I put my head down a lot. I know for sure when I was being chased my helmet was almost on the handlebars so I'm guessing the camera 'should' be pointing directly back at them - I hope.
And I know it was filming still because as the missus was writing down a description of the camera she noticed the light was still blinking on it and held it up to her face and asked me how to shut it off. LOL!
I hope my lawyer can get that video back because we need to clear my name. *wink wink* It's imperative to my case that me and my lawyer are able to view and study that video. It's a crucial piece of evidence and if they with hold or damage it I may just have to make a claim of evidence tampering.

Haha you guys are all getting way too serious, you have to see both sides. Yeah, running wasn't exactly smart in my book, but he did it, he admits it, and he's gonna pay his dues. Then again look at the situation, its bull. A guy out there on his bike trying to have a good time getting chased. Never been harrassed by a cop, but good luck getting it back brother!

that sucks man. Ive out ran the cops plenty of times on my R, lol. Its bullshit really, they just want you to spend $$ getting your quad out and paying their fines...fuckers. Why dont they put there time catching REAL criminals? But I hope everything goes good and you get your quad back no problem. 250r's 4lyfe! lol bought it get that tatted on me =D

This is awesome. It reminds me of one time I stopped at my friends house on the way home from a tt race and we were in his drive talking when we heard the town cop go flyin outta town lights and sirens on. Dude I didn't even think I just bolted to my trailer and fired it up. With all around hoosiers and a swaybar!!!WOW. Riding through town feels so much faster then anywhere else. Unfortunatly I didn't get chased but no PIG would of ever been able to hang.
