Got the 88 R out and have been working the bugs out... I've had it a few years but it has had bogging issues, so it has sat mainly... Anyway, I put a new clutch in it, the old one was slightly worn and had a little burnt smell, so I replaced with EBC. I used the existing steels as they were in Spec still. Anyway, it runs through the gears fine and shifts well, however, I had to adjust quite a bit to get to the proper setting, and to me the arm position to engage seems pretty far in IMO??? what do you guys think??? its an 88 motor with the 89 needle bearing setup. basket and all internals looked fine although I did not remove the rod to inspect, I simply just changed the clutch and didn't touch anything else.... I don't believe the clutch arm was this far in previously, but I could be wrong.... let me know if you think ok, or if something needs looked at. Thanks in advance!!
