Man I know of a few 450's in wa that would fit this description. But there is no way there coming down to Cali lol. I'm sure ct or any other top builder will answer the call though. My 450 is pretty we'll built but it's not going to touch a r of that caliber in the sand.

i wana see this and a shootout in the sand with the best r builders making the same setups entire bike wise.. see whos really making the most power out of these R's. alot of ppl trash talk companies n stuff just cause they dont like somebody or because of what they heard/read. i bet that bdt 363 is nasty though!! id love to be there to watch them race!!

You should contact John Dyer at Racers Edge AZ (Tucson). He is the king of the TRX450R, has major street cred in the builder's scene and has a ton of customers in AZ, Vegas, and So Cal that go to Dumont all the time. Post this up on the TRX450.org site. That would be a great article.

Hmm, interested, but my 450R is only about 90% show quality, still has a few rough parts on it. Plus, the motor is no where near what that 363 would be. Still, I would have a couple months to make it 100% show quality though, huh? I even live near Dumont. Maybe I need to build the motor I have always wanted for this 450R....:)

Sure you will have no problem finding a 450R that meets everyones expectations. Excited to read the article, but having both a built 450R and a built 250R, I already know who wins in my world!

Looking good Doug. You would have to put your 450 on a diet to be a fair comparison. Those desert 450s have to be heavy. I just about have my 450 ready for desert. Now I just have to find the time to ride it.

Rage, Baldwin, BCS. There are many companys that make a lot of horse power. But with the R its not all about the motor. Its the complete package. The BDT 363 is a monster for sure. I have 2 of them and love them. But the R also has great geometry and a light weight package that give it benifits over other 450's. It will be interesting to see a compltetly built 450 face off against a completely built 250R.

true, but the chance of getting a baldwin, sparks, built bike out here is pretty slim. i forgot about rage. i went down too winchester bay or in august and raced my buddies 363 against my 450. didnt really stand a chance in a drag race.

Just got work from Cain that Duncan Racing has most likely stepped up to the plate with one of their 450R's and their Quadzilla! So the article will feature all 3! Now if we could just get someone that can actually ride my quad we will be in business (I managed to crash during the last Dirt Wheels Shoot and my back still hurts). =)
