He did alot of work to that quad, I believe it is a Lonestar chassis with the top rails of a 450r frame welded to it. Not an easy conversion.

 

I think if a person had the plastics you could build the tabs needed to mount them. I might borrow my buddys and sit them over my frame just to see what will need to be done before i get my hopes up.

Not to big on that, I really like fullbore plastics with a fourtrax hood. It'd be cool though because it's uncommon. Anybody can order some fullbores.

 

It would be cool if you could actually order Fullbore plastics.....but they don't make them anymore. And good luck finding them used

 

It looks nice. I still prefer the old 250r look better though.

The old 250R look is my favorite also. Wish Honda hadn't discontinued the plastic

 

Has anyone put ltr plastics on a R?

 

i bought one with LTR plasitcs on it. i going back to 250r stuff. it even had a custom aluminum tank fabbed for the conversion

 

I've changed mine over front plastic gas tank and rear plastic and seat on my 250r just had to fab some stuff but I love it

 

If not done right looks like crap. Here is a pic I found long time ago, 4 years or so ago.

 

A Honda 450R is pretty much the ugliest quad ever in my opinion. Why on earth would you want to put 450R plastics on a 250R??? At least pick a decent looking quad, LTR, 400EX, or YFZ. For the record I think a 250R is better looking than all of them by a long shot.

 

While I agree that the 250R is the best looking quad of all time, I'd have to say the 450R is right up behind is for 2nd with the LTR450 coming in 3rd. That exhaust exiting directly under the seat is killer.

 

I was looking at this issue today actually lol didn't realize fullbores were discontinued either those were tied with being my favorite besides whatever i got but my brother had older maiers and not only is it the ugliest possible dull looking red possible but also extremely flimsy. Not impressed with them at all which is unfortunate since it seems only maier sells plastic
