hey guys,
say like a new want to be member joins the site, & in the process of reading this very thread, what do you think that persons first impression would be of the site.
Do you think they would want to join in, or would they run because it looks like theres a fight going on.
Think about it.
Neil

bingo thank you neil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the offer again ferrin and it is now closer then ventura lol. We will see. I am going to start getting some exercise in these old bones and desk chair and couch molded body. Burning some laps again would be a blast.

I too have been working on a workout program....Ive already dropped from 235 to 215...Also working on getting my cardio and stamina to where it needs to be.....Thing is my weak spot was always TT because of my size...Not to say I never won but 6'6 is hard to get comfortable in a hairpin turn...That turn at Oildale speedway in Bakersfield around that big old tractor tire killed me every time....LOL....Flattrack is more my specialty....

I hear you at 6'3" myself we can make a tt 250r look like a mini and it gets cramped. If I was 5'9 I probably would of stayed with a thumber but at 6 3 I felt less cramped in the tight turns with a twist so I learned to use it and love it at the time.

Both of you are Big Guys...I wouldn't question seize as being a detriment to Racing, 250R's included, TT or MX. Cody Smith is a "Big Boy", I think over 6' tall and built like an Offensive Tackle...guessing over 250 lbs + gear, yet Cody has managed to Win the last two (2017 & 2018) NEEDT 2 Stroke Quad Nationals at Pinelake Raceway...even with all the size & weight, Cody gets it done around the TT track....great racer!

I am not sure what our chat has to do with Cody. When I was reflecting back on the past is when I was around cody's age. 6 3 didn't really effect my lap times much and depending on the track condition could be a perk on a slick infield section in the tri trac days. With all of the video and gopro posted now days racers that have been there and done that can have a decent feel for how quick someone is.

I'm a fairly new guy, want my honest opinion?

I give up....I never tried to start anything...added to the conversation about new needed parts...and discussed racing.....I guess this place isn't really about 250r's???..Anybody wants to reach me I'm on Facebook as Jeff Ferrin.....I'm willing to help anybody out..Worked for Honda from 81-95.Been racing Flattrack/TT since 1985...I have a ton of parts and experience if you need anything.....Out....

Don't do that as it did venture into a chat. It got taken off on page one and was somewhat a misc chat about 250r's besides the unfortunate posts. Definitely don't run Out but we do need to avoid the original derailing of threads with off topic advertisement or misc posts that could have their own place.

I don't see anything wrong with Ferrin & others "added to the conversation about new needed parts...and discussed racing"....in any thread. These are just informational posts, while they may deviate from the OP's question, they evolve from the ongoing discussion based on the topic at hand. If we are to ban all discussion unless it is 100% on Topic, their will be little to no discussions going forward.

What needs to STOP is the constant attacks, it's old, and worn out....we all need to bury the past and move on. Once this sincerely happens; .NET will see much better days, if this never materializes you can "give time outs", "ban everyone you like", and nothing will change. Time to move forward...!
