Goint to Winchester and cant wait.;) Question about flags. Is it required that we use red/ orange flags or can we have any flags on our bike?

We will be camping at discovery point rv.

Awsome, we will have 5 250r's there with us.

you'll have a blast....cops at Winchester Bay seem to be the coolest and most relaxed. Just dont race in front of the last parking lot ( on the flats) and going down the whoop road which is the enterence you will use to access the dunes, speed limit is 15, just keep it cool and you will NEVER have any issues there...great place to ride

Yea great place to ride as you get up into the fingers off to the left side way back in the trees becareful of the holes theres a couple that you need a well tuned motor and some real good paddles to get out of. Most are easy but do a ride by the top of them first some dont have a bottom only the trees and the lake is down there. This is my favorite part of the oregon dunes the tree shots, but if you have amateur riders in the group pay attention before a bike gets stuck down there and kills half a day trying to get it out.

like cory said go slow past the ranger station on the whoop road, if you go flying down the whoop road the ticket can be big and if your over 16 then it can effect your license. Just take it easy on the access road they enforce it big time.

the best part of the whole park is the left side (leaving from discovery point resort) at the trees and the far back left where most the amateurs dont get into.

and the local restaurants are great for fresh seafood.

Spinreel/coosbay is worth a day trip or two but this park is even bigger then whinchestor

for me florence is boring and too many sand cops

Kind of a random question but, where can I purchase rece fuel in that area if I need it? I'm taking some but want to make sure I have a back up plan. Thanks guys.

At the entrance off the main highway there is a store there at Winchester called the Pelican plaza. They sell race fuel. There is another spot in Florence (20 miles north)where race fuel is readily available.

Thanks Puma. If you can make it out there with one of your 27 sparkling 250r, that would be great.
