Which PV cylinder do you recommend? Which bore size? For an MX/Woods Setup
I'm looking to get a PV cylinder, just not 100% sure which one to get. my friend has a Duncan ROTAX 275 cylinder that needs renickalized, or whatever it is and he wants 500$ for it. Is that a good price? its in good shape

thats a bit pricey JUST for that, and i would have to buy a piston, so i would be looking at about 800-1000$ on that. i would rather just buy a whole damn ESR cylinder brand new for that! it aint no rotax but thats alot for a used setup.

IMO the PC2000 cylinders are top quality specially with the Rotax PV, the Rotax is one of the best 'blade' PV's available. However; the PC2000 cylinders are not the best performers, the ProX with the Rotax valve or the Sphynx with the Rotax valve are much better, specially the Sphynx.

I'll be selling an almost brand new PC2000 275 here very shortly. Fresh nikasil with less than 5 hours

I can give you more details if you're interested, just shoot me a PM

The esr pv works great as well. It really just comes down to which top end kit you go with and the pv available for it. I love pv's myself.
As far as your question about which pv cyl to go with here is a copy n paste below of my opinion that I posted in your other thread that you made asking about the required bb case mods. http://www.trx250r.net/forum/engine...rum/engine-transmission/25586-case-machining-power-valve-cylinder-question.html
Your replys that you are getting in both threads are ending up blending together in a way. Good luck with what ever you choose to do.

"imo the prox is a waste of money over the esr. Similar except for the price being marked up a lot. You can buy more and do more with the large amount of money saved. Also as tbone said you get the case modifications that you are asking about done free of charge vs the 50.00 to 100.00 that you will have to pay someone to do this for you when you go with any other option. Add it up and the difference is big enough to cover the cost of a new stroker crank plus a lot more.
Good luck. "
