So I get a message this morning from "coolretrobikes4u" asking me to measure the warning label on the very nice 1988 TRX 250R seat I am selling because he is convinced I am selling knock off restored seat. This is the guy selling a 'restored' 1989 seat on a 86/87 seat pan and asking $750 dollars for it. It has been for sale for months. I gave a quick response essentially telling him that I do not need to prove anything to him. His response was a long winded tirade about how he has a 30 day backlog of business and nobody does work as good as they do, and my seat was old and going to fall apart and I was the a-hole that was ripping someone off. Has anyone had this $750 'restoration' service done on one of their seats, or does anyone know someone that has?? What an arrogant a hole the guy is. Here is the seat:
