Ok I building a 86 250r heard that it was best to go with 04-05 450r front brake system what all do I change out for this conversion.




do I change rotors , calibers, hubs, and do I need to change spindle too



im going with +2 standard travel a arm now when I buy them do I buy them for a 450r and still fit on my quad or do I still need to get 250r a arms


let me know in details what you guys have learned about it and know please and thank you

Yes, you need to change it all as a complete system (spindles, calipers, hubs, and rotors). You do not and can not use 450R a-arms though. They do not bolt up to the 250R frame. If you are using +2 a-arms, you will need to get +2 450R tie-rods because they are actually longer than +2 250R tie-rods, and necessary since the mounting point on a 450R spindle is slightly further away from the steering stem than it is on a 250R spindle. The best place to get tie-rods for the money is Team Alba Racing. Just call them up and ask for Cory. Tell him you need a set of their 450R tie rods and he'll hook you up for around $35.00 shipped.
 
Well, if you want to do any part of it at all you need to do all of it together. It's a package deal I guess is the way to look at it. Spindles, hubs, rotors, calipers, and tie-rods all need to be done together.
