Hey, Does anyone know what causes my spark plug to become smashed? I Think the piston head is hitting it but what would cause that? Please help?

The first thing that comes to mind is you have a long rod crank but no spacer plate under the cylinder..

How long have you had this quad? Might need to ask the previous own if you have a long rod or short rod in the engine.

yeah several things can cause it.wrong piston,rod combo.someone forgot to put needle bearing in the rod,etc.

Pull the head off and look at the condition of the piston.. Is the motor making obvious noise is it even running? What plug are you using?

If it's the "Spark Plug Smashed", the piston can't hit it. If the electrode is smashed on the spark plug; it's detonation on steroids...!
