I got new parts in and put them on earlier this week and today....+2 chromoly steering stem, carbon fiber radiator scoops, and used grooved tires and douglas wheels
Yes it is steel that has been chromed. Once the rust gets through the chrome you can not get the shine back. I see now the picture your talking about. I thought the chrome was just dulled up and a repolish is easy. You would have to have it stripped and rechromed now. But it is cheaper than getting a new axle. Let me know if you want to get a new one I would buy that one from you.thanks Pumashine....I bought a manual and learned how to put the crank and counterbalancer back in sync....It was alot easier than i imagined....I never knew that i could polish that axle....I was planning on buying an Axcaliber axle, but i may consider keeping the durablue now...i might be wrong but i thought my axle was steel...it looks like rust spots have formed, unless its a tarnish effect...thanks
I have alot of 250r parts to trade. These are the latest motor mounts I am making at work. If you need some I will send ASAP to put on your bike. They are better than chrome and will never peel or rust.I dont know what you think its worth...I dont think this axle is worth much..I will need to get a shipping price for it...I dont know how much it will be...I would base my price off of that....Also i wanna mention that i dont think it is widened any...My guess is that it is the heavy duty axle...im not 100%sure
