Any pointers on installing the steering stem nut on a Laeger narrow?
Thanks Rick

Well depending on the type of bolt you have(Hex head,Allen head) it can be a real pain...I had to grind down the edges of my allen bolt to get it to even fit through the gap in the frame rails. Then to get it started and thread it in I had to lift the stem out of the frame just enough to fit the bolt up in there with the washer and get it going then it was easy since the allen keys fit through the gap in the frame. If you have a hex head bolt I would guess you just have to tighten it a 1/4 turn at a time?

It's a lonestar stem with the threaded end. I'm gonna try driving the bearing and seal back up so there is room to so I can wiggle the nut and bushing into place. Then hopefully tighten it as you described.

You will need a stem that utilizes the Allen head bolt. The stems threaded for a nut will not work on the Laeger narrow frames.
