Hey Guys,
i was having trouble getting my rear elka setup for mx ride height so i called Laz at GT thunder. i gave him my compressed and extended measurements and he said to get the correct ride height with my 86 swing arm that he could setup my shock to run with the durablue linkage. he also said that by running the durablue link all the way in would give me a little more stroke (about 1/2") for the setup and get me low enough without sacrificing any travel.
i've got everything bolted up and it feels pretty plush. i've heard mixed reviews on using the durablue link for mx. my guess is it all depends on your rear shock and how much you have the link extended and in my case its hardly extended at all. obviously if you had the link fully extended for TT ride height and you jumped something of course you'd probably break something. Laz seems very knowledgable about 250r's and said they used to race this setup back in the day with now issues.
has anyone used this setup by gt thunder?
