yep, that's exactly what I got from the factory mechanics manual. It just doesn't specify if the .53 reserve is in addition to the 2.64 (for a total of 3.17 gallons) or if the tank holds a total of 2.64 and you have to switch to reserve when it gets to .53 gallons.
