Just like the title says. I'm curious if the stock front rotor guards are needed/required and if you guys are running them or not? I'm doing a rebuild and was contemplating whether or not to put them back on

I don't use the rotor guards on my 86's but I mostly ride sand & woods. If I was riding in the desert or rocky area's I'd use them.

Thanks, everyone. Since I was painting other parts, I went ahead and painted them as well in the off chance that I use them. Based on what you’re saying, though, I don’t need to have them on and it’s more of a preference.

Leaving them off also allows easier access when cleaning the rotor's & caliper's.
