No the chain was fine I think that the chain guide over the swing arm were there is 1" missing may got between front sprocket and chain
Forcing the gear shaft towards the swing arm and popped the case
you can see in the pic the piece missing

John the swing arm is tight no play in it how would that cause this damage unless may be a stone or something

Eny one have the new esr cases ? Got to get cases no matter what cheers paul
 
It happens, mostly if the shaft or bearing are loose in the case, and pound the case in that area. It is a High stress Zone, and will break just like yours did. The good news is the Left case be TIG welded and machined to like new.

Hope these help think its wisco 76.94 mm piston may clean up will get some new rings as for cases I need a clutch basket spanner to remove clutch to split the cases as selector shaft looks like its pulled back towards swingarm

Only had the r for two months brought from eBay I have not touched the motor .ithought the same thing on the silicone and its hard to
Find standard parts in the uk
I will put a list together of what is needed 4 point seizure may be to lean or over heated what you think?
I noticed a small split in the air box pipe on tear down may be to much air
Well now I need to put this motor back together so need to find the parts new shocks will have to wait till July
I will be replacing all bearings seals gaskets two o ring seals on the head and pipe coller bace plate gaskets piston kit crank cases if you can help with these parts please pm me cheers Paul uk

Picked up the motor last night fresh top end new left casing . Now waiting for +3arms and new shocks to be biult .i still think that the reed spacer is to thick at 20mm with the gaskets motor is 330 with sparks 330 pipe and silencer what you guys think
