I like the BR8EG... My compression is a little higher than that at 210 and I run straight VP 110 and that's the plug I use.. I'm sure others will have different opinions I'm curious to hear what other guys are using in high compression race gas setups...

 

I don't believe compression has any factor. You should run the coolest plug you can, without fouling. Keep that engine cool.

 

I have 235psi in my 344 and run vp110 with a BR9EIX iridium plug

 

I run NGK BR8EIX on all my bikes. And I have between 175lbs-190lbsof compression

 

Can someone explain the difference between the BR8EG AND BR8EIX?

 

Bike falls over in 5th nd 6th gear. Is that b cuz of it not being a number 8 plug? It feels like clutches are slipping

I always try to jet with a br9.plug and slipping has little to do with slipping and not reving in 5-6

 

Isn't the 8 cooler than the 9? Is there a reason you guys with big bores and high compression motors are running the 9? I thought as mentioned above the 8 is cooler, cooler is better?

 

You are correct Mike. It depends on the engine. I run an 8 in my 350 with 200lbs.

 

I run BR8ES ... burn great, NGK for me.

 

you always try to run the coldest plug you can..if it got hot outside and my jetting was perfect I will sometimes switch to a 8 due to it running rich in hot temps.

 

it happens fred.i get stuff twisted sometimes also.
