I like the new site. Yes you need to go to settings>general settings to change your PM's and setup email notifications. Make sure if you want to receive emails when a new post to a thread you subscribed is saved, change "Default Thread Subscription" drop down menu. (I think should fix it...)

The old homepage is cached, do a hard refresh. Ctrl-F5 on Windows, or shift click the refresh button. Clear your cache, etc.
