I just got this 250r last Sunday (July 6th 08) after trading it for my rm250. I'm still not sure how i ended up with a 250r. When i got the email saying he wanted to trade i thought he was joking. I only had about $850 in the RM. After talking to the guy I found out he was serious and so we drove down to Columbus and took a look at the R. I wasn't expecting much but i was actually vary surprised. Engines strong and starts with one kick usually. Frame is in excellent shape and doesn't have any cracks, bends, or rust on its original paint. All the bushings where good and it had brand new tires. The only thing it needed was plastic and a rear caliper. After quickly signing a bill of sale and leaving before he changed his mind we took it back home and took it for a test spin. What can i say but WOW. Vary fun bike and the black circles out front of the house proved that. 
I already talked to a guy who used to race them and hes going to give me a good deal on some race plastic and some other performance parts. I'm going to slowly build it up and race it at the local harescramble races and maybe some gncc races later.
