300ex thumb throttle compatable?

I was told the honda trx300ex thumb throttle is good to use and easier to find than stock. What do you guys think? Will in work with my stock carb? keihin 34 pj

That's what I'm using on mine but I think the R's cable is alittle long in the housing, seems like I'm bot getting full throttle but I trail ride so it's not bothering me any

The 300ex throttle doesn't have enough throw in the arm to get full throttle on the 250R carb. I "think" the 400ex works.

400EX throttle is the same as 300EX, neither work right for the R.

So then, if you can't get an R throttle, what's everyone using?

Im using the 450R thumb throttle. It looks just like the 300EX and 400EX but I can feel my slide bottom out before the thumb throttle does. I also checked it by looking at the slide and looking at the throttle with the cover off. Im running a 36mm A/S and with the slide open I still have a little room before the stops in the throttle. I also use a motion pro cable. I have heard of guys grinding the stop in the 300EX houseing to get the extra movement they need.
