I came on to this site about 7 years ago. I was introduced to the 250r by my friend Barry aka BnDracing RIP. He also introduced me to this site. when I first came on here I was amazed of the knowledge of its content. constantly seeing new pics of builds. and there was a very much the troubling issue with one particular site sponsor. it soon spiraled out of control and people were getting banned as a result of his dealings. the facts were that one the sites moderators was cutting a deal with the sponsor. politics played its part in the demise of this site. soon after another forum was established with the promise of a no nonsense rule. but this split the community now with 2 site derived from one. The sponsor stayed and there was always controversy. more people were banned. the overall content was getting boring. So the new guys started up on facebook and well we know what that's all about. I am drawn to facebook as a result the instant response of others about the sole content the Honda Trx 250r. we live and breath these bikes we are excited about them and this is in our blood. these platforms allow us to have a build page not like facebook. we retain our notes and history here. I want to come on here and have pleasure in our dreams of these bikes not who to bash and who not to do business with. the moderators who made the decision to be in power should be policing these issues. I don't understand it. its pretty simple to me. when I was growing up if you stepped out of line you would get reprimanded. you were taught to respect others. when people come on here and are doing others wrong causing drama and such why aren't they simply banned ? I just don't get it. I watched many people banned from this site all for the wrong reason. most who spoke out against carlos. a lot of good people got booted and the one who caused the drama was allowed to stay now the head count in here in minimal. so who ever squirrel is once again psychoanalyze the philosophy of who be dat. and talks in riddles and is not contributing to anything is not shut down. this just breeds distraction and contempt of others. to all these are facts. and not fake news we all know. This question is to the people in power why do you continue to allow this to continue. please don't reply negatively its time to change.

I see your true character comes out. The only builder that cames out here and down grades others. I will say this again. Any good builder does not have to resort to these tactics. Their work speaks for itself. I would of hoped your time away would of changed you. Obviously not

Irrelevant, meaningless chatter…. posting one’s confidence, skills and capabilities does not “down grade” anyone. If you or anyone feels threatened by what I just posted or BDT, then you need a new backbone, does “snowflake”make you feel better? It should as it fits you perfectly.

This is like stuff kids do in grade school! I can’t find anywhere that an exact person or business was named & down graded...
Carlos has confidence in his business, what business owner would 1/2 promote their business? None that I know? Why wouldn’t a business claim to be the best? Should someone say their business is almost as good as another? It is anyone’s free will to choose to purchase or not, to agree or disagree! If you don’t want to use their service,move on to another.
I don’t know why we are even wasting time on this issue. Sure i probably don’t know all the stories but for someone to help out the way Carlos does, he answers almost every damn post with truthful/experienced/knowledge. He doesn’t discriminate who he helps, why discriminate him for helping & wanting/claiming to be the best? Are you better? Prove it!!! Claim it!!! Own it!!! Other engine builders are on this site too, they could all answer a question & in the reply say “if you have any more questions call us @..... or we have that part here @ ......” why wouldn’t you?? If anything they would just be helping you locate the part faster, saving you time of searching!

As a person that visits multiple websites, this one seems to have more than its share of infighting. Having said that, I do think facebook has hurt sites like this. I didn't even have a facebook account until recently--didn't want one. I got one, though, because a lot of traffic went there and I felt like I was missing out, especially when trying to contact others and buy parts. Unfortunately, facebook doesn't organize and store knowledge like sites like this. You go there and it is always the conversation of the moment, and no way to search different topics for answers. On a lot of other sites the traffic has slowed to a trickle too. It might also be because the sport quad market is at a low point. Side-by-sides have taken over the powersports market. I don't visit side-by-side sites because I don't have one (but those CAN-AM X3 Mavericks sure look cool), but they are probably buzzing with traffic. It seems like the quad market experiences big ups and downs. The first golden era was in the 80s, and the second in the 2000s. Hopefully there's another golden age coming in the near future.

sounds like Adolph Hitler. he was Brilliant but he also was a murderer. Carlos is a vert smart guy but so wasent Adolph Hitler. Carlos did a lot of harm to people and I will never forgive him. he will reply Nonsense hogwash but more tactfully like there is no proof lies deception. I keep my words true he just wants to climb under your skin so you can start with cussing and racial slurs so you can get booted. to all Carlos has a manipulating mentality. I hope that he gets booted from this forum he is bad for business as he has lied cheated and stole his way to where he is. it clearly said BDT won't change so there you have it. Just to let you all know squirrel sent me a pm and he also used the word snowflake. its funny how over time a lot of new members have come on here and then dissapere. carlos has been caught numerous times faking accounts and causing disturbance. also dissing himself just to reply to as Carlos. its all true and most of you know it. and the great members who got booted from here know it. this is sad that I comment about this but I see destruction in the future and I wish he would just go back to his facebook

I'd say about 5-6 years ago, this site was awesome! You'd push refresh, and people already had new subjects and new responses. This was really the only site that had any traffic. It was the place to be if you had a 250r.
The only downside to FB really is that it isn't stored on a server that is easily found. Basicly if you search anything about 250r's on Google this is the first site that comes up.

Thats a good point about info being saved. I have found it time consuming to find a post that I read maybe a week or so ago. Other than that, I "daily-dose" on the FB page. To me, its been really good. I guess the best benefit, was that I was able to connect with a couple of guys that I haven't talked to in about 17-18 yrs. They are both still in the racing scene and have access to good parts. I have enjoyed this site too. I have mostly just looked thru old posts on topics that I have an interest in.

Yep, both are good. Basicly this site had as much new info everyday as Facebook does now with the benefit of having everything saved. I also preferred this site over Facebook because I didn't want "friends and family updates" I wanted to talk about 250rs. But that's a problem I have with Facebook haha.
