I know that we should all be careful with craigslist but this guy is selling the nicest R i've ever seen... whats your opinion on it? Thanks:)

Yes, a very nice TRX250R...a lot of really nice, awesome 250R builds on this forum for sure.

I remeber this BDT engine, it is a prestine example of a complete BDT OEM engine build...every piece was rebuilt, replaced new and 90% OEM + Ported...the complete Quad turned out very nice.

Hate to see anyone selling such a nice quad...!

I talked to the guy selling it and he said it runs on 105 octane or more, i asked him how hard would it be to change out parts for it to run premium pump gas. He didn't exactly know but now i'm asking you since you're an expert Carlos! How hard would it actually be to run premium pump gas on an engine like this? What things would have to be swapped out?

After building a TRX and ATC250R from scratch, I can tell you that $5500 is a steal.
^^^ I agree, sounds like a good price.
X2...good deal...!

Since this engine has an interchangeable dome, it would only need the current dome/shell re-cut for Pump Gas.

I always recommend everyone run Race Fuel, however; I do understand Pump Gas sometimes is the only option.

I hate an add that says, "Let me start by saying that you will NOT find a nicer Honda 250R than this one." It tells me he/she does not go/look out side their universe in fear someone has something bigger and better. To say you have the best of something that is 25 years old is just ludicrous bc there is more of these great builds that aren't advertised. And its not even the best looking to this forums standards.

Long story short, Looks like a great bike and price seems fair, but seller sounds like a dbag.

In my area we dont have alot of race gas available but what I mean by pump gas I mean premium pump gas like 95 or 93

IMO any R that is over 5 grand better have a frame that says "Laeger's, Roll design, Walsh, Arens etc" aka aftermarket frame There is much nicer R's out there and on this site, however this one looks to be quite nice..

Those old-fashioned sales techniques sound especially bad on the internet. That kind of salesmanship used to work really well in the old days, though.
