What's a 2001 CR 250 worth?

Guy has a 2001 CR 250 local to me asking $2600
Bike is real clean and 2001 is the sought after year bike/ best motor.
I'm thinking more in the ballpark of $1700-$2000 what do you guys think?
Wouldn't mind having one just for playing around.

25% of the price is in the ignition system alone. Probably worth your ballpark for sure.

When I was looking for one last year. I found most went for anywhere between 1200-2500. Saw a few real nice ones for $1500. I live in Canada, they go for $2200+ up here and we are always much higher than what I've found in the states. Ended up buying an '03 with excel rims, engine all rebuilt and ported, aftermarket suspension for $2400 here. Not sure if all this helps, but throwing it out there anyways lol

I have had 4 of these over the years.2500 way to much.?A super clean one with a pipe.1500. One that has all the goods,forks,shock,exel wheels,bars bla,bla 1800 to 2000. 2500 Noooooooo way.2000-2001 the best years to have. Here is my 2000 cr 250. Super clean,just a pipe. 1200 i paid.

It always depends on where someone lives as well. A $1500 CR250 in one part of the country (or world) can be worth $2500 in another part. Here in Ohio, I have yet to see a 2000 - 2001 CR250 that I would even bother touching for less than $2000 because you just know that thing is a money pit. The really good ones that you can buy and ride for a decent length of time are going to start around $2500.

Hi I have a Very Nice Honda CR 250 in Great Shape. It has new tires ,Pro Circuit Pipe & Silencer. I just don't ride it any more. $1,200.00 Firm. I also have a reese hitch mounted carrier. I want $ 150.00 for it , And I have 2 gear bags full of gear including Alpine star boots size 8, HJC Carbon comp. Helmet , chest protector and much more. I am willing to consider a package deal for everything , or possible trade .

I have bought and sold a bunch of the CR250's one 98 and two 01's. I live in Pennsylvania and they go for 2k tops in nice shape. Bought and sold all of them for 1600 1700 and 1900. Young kids now don't wanna mix gas and want 4t's. They think a 2001 bike is old and outdated but with them being aluminum framed I think they look modern and I love there power.
