Will the stock throttle cable work on an airstriker? I didnt get one when i bout the carburetor.

no the stock cable will not work so well ..yet I am using a stock honda cable I would have to check the part NO. for you

I have a motion pro cable for my ride, but its still for the stock carb, i guess what i mean is that, does the air striker require a special cable.

yes you will need to buy one i got mine through motion pro to (i learned the hard way i have 2 brand new ones sitting in the garage that dont fit)

as long as you are using a fairly new 38 mm airstryker carb I know what (OEM HONDA)cable you'll need

I dont know if its new or not? It looks good, it also has an anodized cap for the throttle. What one do you think i need?

well i happend to have the right cable, except my carb doesnt have the little adjuster that goes into the top of the cap. Any ideas where i can get one?

Sudco or all250r.com can get you the carb parts you need.Jason at all250r is a sudco dealer and actually has better prices than sudco on their stuff?????????

sorry to hijack but how do we use the stock throttle with a newer carb? i couldnt figure out how to get it off? so i just put the twist on it but would like to put the stock throttle back on with my AS 36mm PWK just in case my lil bro gets my bike. i dont want him to kill himself.

motion pro will have one most likely or if esr sells 36 mm carbs they will have one for the stock throttle (not sure if the threaded cap is the same size on the 36/38 if they are i kn ow esr has one

You won't have any luck finding a cable for a 36mm Air Striker carb...they only made 35mm and 38mm Air Strikers. Or was 36mm a typo?

a 85 atc250r cable works with a 38 a/s carb, 38 pwk and 39 pwk. My friend had my 38 a/s on his stock 85 cable. You need to unscrew the nipple on the top of the cap and the cable screws in.

doesnt the 85atc cable have the angled elbow on it?

well i was told that it is a 36mmpwk bored out to 38mm but maybe it is a 38mm pwk. WELL i looked and they have the 36mm Pwk on there website and it seems to be about the same size as the 38mm the only diffrence it being that the 36mm is taller.

i got my throttle cable and clutch cable from terrycable.. i have a 38 a/s they can custom make any thing u want and have it out in a couple of days.. and braided to match my brake lines..

89 i have a friend who is a dealer but i just told them what kind of carb, what kind of atv and what yr and thorttle i had and they made it fit both ends.. if u dont have any luck ill give him a call and get the # for you.. they look great too..
