Hi i recently got a 87 250r, I got it with the case covers off of it and the guy i got it from said the transmission was just rebuilt, so not thinking i bought it without trying to shift it. I got it home tried to shift it and i felt nothing so pulled the clutch of to check it out and the hat like clip was hardley in and shift lever was off. Now ive messed with the shift drum a little and it shifts but not though all gears, get to second of third and wont go farther then i go back down and it may go back up once or twice no father, then back down and ect. Dont no what to do at this point not really sure what is wrong. Any help would be much appreciated!!
1987 250r wont shift right.
