New update, bottom is finally back together after 2 days of playing with the tranny. Top end will be on soon and I will start making up the exhaust. Haven't given up, just been working on rebuilding the motor.

hey chrs we all know it takes time. its funny how you can spend so much time on a mod show it to someone and they say. ah ok. i wish i was at the point of my exhaust. thats about 4 to 5 weeks away. keep at it though. Get you motor all together. here's a mod i did on saturday. i've thought this out endlessly and when i put all the parts on the table and dedicated the time i went with a different plan. a full day to make this mod. keep up the good work !

I don't have a pic at the moment, but when I had my kfx700. I bought the yoshimura duals. Very cool pipe design I might say. The crossover design consisted of both pipes connecting right in front of rear shock and then back out to the cans. Extremely hard to install, but looked amazing. Thought this could maybe give ya some ideas on where to route everything.

New update. Today was the first time I started the r since I started the bottom end rebuild. Been about 2 months since the r ran. Have been looking at the dual design. And the idea that I have, isn't gonna work all to well on a side mount. Now I'm thinking of running a different set up for a air box. But its gonna be different. Now a cm pipe would be no problem, "I've already said that", but I'm looking a touch closer to my idea I will try to get on this tomorrow. Looks to be somewhat of a free day.

One problem with that. The y pipe will have to have a v almost in the pipe to get the exhaust to run out both. If you just toss on a splitter the exhaust is gonna favor the side that is more of a straight shot. That is were I'm having a issue. Also you don't want to run two full silencers. You will need to have two that will equal out to the same length as one. If you have two full ones, I'm afraid you will start messing with motor temp. Then the power band. You are gonna have more bottom than anything if I'm correct. Then you also need to worry about the pipe size. You want to make sure pipe id and od are the same. Also need to make sure both silencer pipes are the same length off the y pipe.

I understand that if you run two full silencers it might mess with engine temps and power band but if I'm understanding it correctly are you saying it could give you more bottem end? I always run woods so top end isn't really a big deal to me if it could boost bottom end. I understand I would have to figure somethin out to correct engine temp and possible powerband issues
