Well i really dont post on here much but i figured what the heck im going to start a thread on my newest build. Ive built a few 250rs but never posted anything. I picked this quad up locally it used to be bob linds old race quad. Ill attach a few pictures of what it looks like and some from back in the day when it was raced. The women i picked it up from had it sitting in her garage untouched since 2005 when it was last raced. I never drove it or started it just threw it in the back of my truck and took it home. It has a 2001 PRP DDT frame with prp cr500 rear end, which from research seems very uncommon to come by. The front end is houser +3 +1 long travel with axis triple rate shocks and matching axis in the rear. Some other goodies is PWR radiator, duncan 265pv, quick change cover, hinson clutch, yukon tranny, durablue rear axle, PWK 38mm carb, full bore plastics, houser steering stem, rear beadlocks, NEW curtis sparks TT pipe and paul turner 2003 pipe with sparks silencer, and many things i cant even think of. You could tell this quad was raced and in need of some tlc so i tore the whole thing down to start over from scratch. Right now the frame is out for powdercoat and the cylinder is out for nikasil. Ive spent alot of money buying new parts but and such to make it nice. The prp frame didnt have any mounting for a skid plate so i welded in mounts for a leagers ac skid plate that is an identical match to this frame. This is going to be a very fast build and you will probly see completed pictures within the next 3 weeks. Please ask question or comment all you like input is good. Cant wait till the snow flies this this thing is gonna be sweet! and yes it sat outside unde a tarp for a few days til i got my garage cleaned out, sad i know but i was happy very suddenly and very unexpexted as i wasnt even looking to buy another 250r
