ATV Pioneer Kelvin Franks R.I.P.

Many of you may be to young to know the name but, one of the early pioneers of ATV racing Kelvin Franks passed away. He was originally involved in two wheeled mx but was also a master builder/designer of some very trick 3 and 4 wheelers in the formative years of ATV's. Many of his hybrids outperformed the big factory machines.

That's a true shame, rest in piece Mr. Franks. I was just reading some early DW 80's articles last night, there was a nice picture of one of Franks builds. Is Tricky Dick's still around?

I thought was interesting, Eddie Sanders raced an RM250 with a Nicholson frame and was giving the Honda guys fits back then pretty cool. I've got pics of the RM but haven't seen any good pics with Fast Eddie on it...

PS thanks for the link to that site, I had not seen that one before... he was a true innovator! Didn't realize he built the KTM rocket 3 wheeler and the Maico's... I couldn't imagine throwing a let over one of those...
