ok so i jsut bought a pretty clean 1989 trx250r for 1200, it came with an extra exhaust, extra plastics, its got a something turner big bore kit, it has a decent amount of work done, but it wont start for me
I just had bad connections in the harness boot under the tank where there is 3 connectors two metal and one plastic. Fixed mine after testing every thing and a new coil.
Is the fuel filter new? Check out the plugs, cap and rotor, and probably fuel pump
(although uncertain might as well). You have probably already checked the air filter
but might as well mention it.
Does it have a powervalve? Did you mix the fuel right? Try pulling the plug boot off stripping back some fresh wire, pull the plug and kick it over a few times and drop in a new plug. Otherwise make sure the jet didn't vibrate loose or broke a reed.
I don't know if you guys noticed but this thread was started over a year & a half ago. I'm not trying to be a jerk here but I would imagine that either the problem was solved or the guy moved on.
