So the 88 .frame I had blasted is in bad shape & a guy at the warehouse I deliver to over heard me talking about it. I knew that he was a good welder & I'd forgotten that he'd built some race car chassis. He said if would bring him the frame he could make me another for no more $400. YES? NO? MAYBE?

Who is it June ?, $400.00 sounds mighty cheap with all got to be done to build a 250R chassis.
Now a drag chassis, might be a different story, but a regular 250R with all the bending & gussets & then the moly tubing itself probably will be more than $400.

Thats what I was thinking. I'm gonna take it to him today and let him look at it. His name is NEIL! GO FIGURE. Lives in the race city of MOORESVILLE, NC.

If he was just making it out of mild steel and just cutting out and replacing parts $400 might sound right, but the hours to build a jig alone
might cost something like that.

If he can build frames for $400 and they look half decent, you better order 20 of them cause they'd go fast.

Keep us posted either way.

He looked at the old frame 2day while we were at work and the only thing said the only way he could do it was to use a heavier material. I weighed the old frame and it was 44 pounds. The weight may go up alot. Not sure.
