can I ask why you want a LRD ignition? it has been many years since they made them and they are a flat timing curve meaning the timing is the same at idle as it is at 9000 rpms. Honestly I do not believe they are that great of a ignition system. They do have a slight bit more spark power than factory but not much, not even in the same ballpark of a digital cr250 ignition

I've been seeing a lot about the cr250 ignition but I was told that the LRD ignition works very well with the LRD pipe which I have. Is there a certain year cr250r I should look for? Anyone have a cr250 ignition in good shape laying around?

It uses a much smaller flywheel so the motor accelerates faster so it is very noticeable in trail style riding. The spark energy is twice the power of the factory cdi, so the motor will run and start noticeable better many times and the the timing curve does not advance right away like the trx curve so you will have less kickback also.
Probably one of the best motor upgrades on the 250r.
