QUOTE(acecarlos @ Apr 18 2011, 11:52 AM) index.php?act=findpost&pid=67763Yes, 265R's or well ported 250R's can be very fast, just not fast enough to keep up to properly set-up 450's…

If your 265R kept up to those 450's, just think the punishment you would have dished out on a well set up 330R…

Carlos.

Respectfully disagree with the second part of your first statement.

That is why we all have our own opinions...

Hard to beat an increase in displacement. ..“265R's or well ported 250R's can be very fast”…however; a “well set up 330R” is even better…

Never seen a 265R make 68HP on race fuel, yet we have built 330R’s that make 68HP, no 265R comes close to 68HP. However I agree with you most 450’s will be eaten up by a well built 265R…

Locally for the “4 Stroke Wars”, some 450’s are pumping out +68HP (I know as we have had them on our Dyno for comparison to our 2 Stroke engines), not to many, yet enough 450’s to beat any 265R…

Being strictly a Honda 2 Stroke Shop, I like nothing more than building & seeing 250R’s beat up on 450’s…

Of the engines I have ran on my r, by far the best pulling was a CT 350 power valve motor. Had the crank trued, Yukon gears, hinson clutch. CT pro x cylinder ported and polished, v forced reeds and intake, pro design head with small dome for pump gas, CT big bore exhaust. Engine was an absolute rocket and ran great for a couple years with a few top end rebuilds after 15 hours. Never had an issue running with the 450's unless they were getting into the high 50 horsepower range.
