i guess if you want to go way back the main body started on rriders.com. then the guy who ran that site just kind of disappeared, and the site went down. this was probably 5 years ago. bill (admin) was running a small forum and when rriders went down, a lot of the guys made there way to bills forum. the current trx250r.net is the evolution of several versions of that. the recent growth surprised me, since the 250R isnt the most popular quad out there anymore. i think its largely due to the new forum. bills taking care of the hosting, and we havent had reliability issues like we did in the past. now were even mentioned in wikipedia.

We've lost a bunch of members though, I guess when the changes came they didnt bother trying to get back in.

when rriders went under we experienced a split of sorts too, some guys went to exriders, and some went to bills site. then there were guys like xandada, bengelp, pilot250R, longie etc, that just kinda faded out, or got out of the sport all together. i still miss longie. that guy was hilarious, every friday night he had a post about what he was doing. it usually started out sensible at 8pm and got progressively more incoherent through the night, as he drank more beers. then theres jeremy and alex who are still out there, but defiantly slacking in the posting. i need to check in with steve summers too, miss him around here.

I used to read the rriders site, but wasn't a member. It went down and then I didn't know about this one until late last summer. I knew about trx250r.org, but it seemed to suck. Never could get anywhere on it.

Im glad to see it is still growing! makes all the headaches worth it. Yes we have gone through many versions thanks to hackers. This is 1 of the best forums so far, some minor glitches here and there, but so far its been great. Site wouldnt be here without you guys though!
