Think they sent me the wrong piston???

I dont know if the pictures worked or not but I'm thinking the guys at wiesco made a mistake or it's just me not knowing much which is very likely. The holes on my piston for the wrist pin dont match up with my old one. I can stick the wrist pin in both of them side by side and my old piston is held off of the table about a 1/4 inch and the top is about the same amount higher than the new one. I'm not sure but if I'm thinking right it looks like they sent me an 86 style piston, and I ordered a 87. The box say's 87-89 but there human so they could have put it in the wrong box. What do you guys think???

Here's the pic's if they work

i pretty sure the new one is 87-89 style. the old piston is a 86 style.
But what I'm confused about is if the knew piston was a 87 style wouldn't it be the one that is taller than the 86 style if you stick them together like in the pictures??? I'm really confused about this because my quad's supposed to be a 87 atleast that's what the guy told me and that's what the title to the quad says. Maybe he swapped motors. If so I'm gonna be pissed! .. Keep coming on what you guys think though.
the 86 style piston has the bottom of the skirt cut so that it clears the rod. the 87-89 style has the piston pin higher to conpensate for the 5mm longer rod.
Welp I'd say your right then. The a$$ must have put the 86 motor in there and not told me  Hopefully the shop I got the piston from will swap it out for an 86 style, If not thats gonna suck 130$ down the drain!!! Thanks for the help though.
130 for a piston? its not a big bore is it. i only pay $85 for my pistons.
I dont think so the box say's 0.0030(0.076mm) I'm all most positive it's not a big bore piston. Does your's come with rings and everything?
piston,rings,pin, and pin clips
and the stickers too. got to have the stickers B)
Where do you order from?? Ya stickers add 10hp easy
nacs racing you are better off calling then ordering off line. they may have your size in stock but most likly they will have to order it. they don't have a high demand for r parts like they use to.
I'm not saying trx2stroke4life39 is wrong but I would like to here some more of your guy's input?
the new one is the 87-89, you can see the hole is higher in the side by side. the previous owner may not have had any idea he had an 86 engine.
It's a good possibility he didn't. So my old piston is 4 sure a 86 right?

it would appear it is.
Was there a spacer under the cylinder?
i had a R motor with a 89 bottom and a 86 bottom an rod. the motor have 5 or 6 gears? maybe your is the same

this make no sence but i will give it a shot. all atc/trx have 6 speeds. if you are say you had 89 trans and 86 crank that possible or the other way around. but you can't have part 86 trans and part 89 trans, its impossible

sorry i mean the top end was a 86 the bottom was a 89 5 speed.
