I was talking to Allen Knowles at CT racing a couple years ago. He said that his 350PV set up for mx made 58 rwhp and until he comes up with an engine kit for the new 4 strokes that made that much power with the reliability of the 350PV, he would still be riding his old R. Well, I spoke to him again yesterday and he is building two new R's. One for himself and one for a friend. His is a custom Arens frame with CR500 rear link, laeger long shock arms, and a laeger CR 500 swingarm. He said he was going to try the new Fox shocks on it and it was mainly going to be a duner. I thought all of you die hard R guys would like to hear this. I guess all the new 4 strokes just aren't cutting it. Hopefully he'll post some pics on his site when he's done, or get it featured in a magazine.

I can speak from experiance on this. I bought the new ltr450 quadracer when it first came out.. Now I'm looking for a R. Now don't get me wrong I do not regret buying the ltr the power is awesome, shocks are great, and handleing is great to. But after riding a shee and playing around the 2 strokes the fun factor just isn't as high as a 2 stroke. Wife is going to take the ltr and I'll play with a R..
