i have 2 ct big bore r motors ones a 310 the others a 330 their both 88 bottoms but the 330 has a spacer plate and the 310 does'nt why? i gonna take them apart b4 the season starts. but do i have different cranks or pistons or whatever. also we may have been over this before but what are the advantages/ disadvantages.thanks guys

Or, on the 310, it could be a 85/86 model short rod crank & 85/86 model piston, or it could be the head is cut enough for the piston to run up into it & no spacer needed.
Its also not impossible that the top of the piston could be cut, only run one ring & still be a long rod & 86 piston.

OOOOH ok, I have a hard time remembering everybodys real name to go with their screen name. Sorry about that Brandon.

Its an 87/88/89 model piston.
The 310 size cylinders are the only ones you can convert like that. The 330/350/410 pistons only come in the 85/86 style.

ok so i need to have the plate on my 330 but i dont need it on my 310 is what your saying
