I'm just curious to see what everyone's steps of ownership were before actually owning their R. What machines did you have before owning one? What machines do you own now?

I started off when I was 6. Here's my rides in chronological order.

i rode my cousin's atc's when i was younger.

my dad bought me my r when i was 12 or so. i bought it off him for $1 when i turned 18.

Occasionally rode an 81' ATC 250R and an 85' ATC 250R that were both my Dad's

And my current 88' TRX250R. I've had it for about 12 years now. I was actually looking for an ATC 250R when I found my R. It was real clean and had minor engine work. Most of the ATCs I found were pretty beat up. Glad I went to 4 wheels.

Fist was my grandfathers Suzuki LT185

Then my dad helped my brother and I get a 1998 Warrior. My dad still has it, hence the rack

Then a 1989 Banshee in 2000

I replaced most of the parts in 2003..

In 2005 i got my (white) 250R!

The next winter I built it into this.

And the next year some small changes

Then this past November I saw the light and got this!

fast forward 12 years later and got into stret bikes
custom painted 88 cbr600f (hurricane)
Got married sold the bike to buy house
Had kids
Bought 97 polaris scrambler 400 4X4
my buddies started getting into Quads so then I had a reason to buy a real bike
brand new 04 450R
sold it to buy
my current ride 86 350r

I'm also really into sleds and currently have a Rev 800 mod.

Started on a 2002 xr80

Then I jumped on to a 2004 CR85 (hence my user name)

Then i sold her and bought the 1988 250r

Then i missed bikes so i saved a little and put a down payment on a 2006 CRF205R

and thats where Im at now. Although i want to sell the CRF and get a CR250.
