I plan on doing a complete rebuild on my R when i get the $$ together. Was hoping to be halfway done with it by now but doesnt look good.

I figured since it runs and is pretty much rideable why not ride it until then

My rear shock is blown . I just need another stocker to get me by until i decide what suspension ill be running. Stock 86 swingarm.

also need a shifter (ill probably buy this new but if you guys have anything let me know) my splines are worn out pretty bad.

Will the 450r shifter fit the 250 shaft??



also need a set of plastics I have oem white/red 86 but its pretty rough. Id like to get a set of black or maybe blue. Since im going to go w/ a blue/black scheme when i build it.

Let me know if you guys can help me out w/ any of this stuff

The 450r shifter will fit the 250R shaft I have heard with no problems.

I do have a spare used IMS shifter I paid 30$ for. I will sell it for 15$ +shipping if interested.

thanks for the info and the offer. Ill probably buy the shifter new especially if 450r works. I can get a new one at the shop for $25 ims folding

I just did a rebuild on my 86 over the winter and I replaced my plastics. So I have a set of black race cut maier plastics with one graphics and matching gripper seat cover that I was going to put on ebay. no cracks or stress marks just the normal scuffs from riding. I also have stock shifter you can have, splines are good, replaced with esr.

I've got a decent oem shock, actually a couple. One leaks a little but is still good, the other is bone dry, I just need to charge it again. I let the nitrogen out one day when I was goofing around with it. If you are interested, I can figure out a price..... somewhere around ebay prices plus shipping. I can send you some pics. ya id definately be interested in the plastics I just went to the honda shop and got a shifter a few mins ago so i could go for a ride tonight lol.

send me some pics of the plastics if you would and a ballpark price. I was really wanting full fender for xc but ill take what i can get

i ended up getting an shifter at the local shop so i could ride.

I need a rear shock and plastics still for now.

probably going to start gathering parts up for the build when i can afford it the next few weeks/months also

Ill be in the market for a low/mid pipe, +1 a arms, axle, 36 or 38mm carb maybe front shocks etc
