hey i am looking to ditch the FMF SST and get a better pipe. i found PT midrange and eliminator pipe each for about $120 and wondering what you guys would recommend. right now my cylinder is not ported and only bored .020 over, but i hope to get a ported 295 cylinder soon. will these pipes work well with the big bore kit?

ordered from most frequent to least i ride....

open field bashing
drag racing
duning
smaller mx style track
trails

i want to be able to kick some 450 in the drags but still not have an all out top end monster. 4 of my buddies have 450 quads and one has a predator and i want them to feel bad about spending double what my quad costs with mods i plan on putting on it. they are all stock except the predator. i want to take cammed and aftermarket exhausted 450s in the dunes.

trx 5 would be a great choice. the pt race mid pipe is one of the best midrange MX/XC pipes. is the eliminator basically the same as the high rev? if so the high rev was a pretty good high rev pipe. just not that common.

I think the eliminator has a little more low and midrange than the high rev. It's like a TT and Desert pipe, which would probably be better than the Race for drags and open fields. Some guys even used them for mx tracks that were more wide open.

im all for getting a ESr trx-5 pipe, but i am on a low budget and the PT pipes are $120 ea. If anyone knows where i can get a trx-5 pipe for a similar price hit me up. i would take an esr pipe over a PT for the same price.

Just read the descriptions of the pipes on www.duncanracing.com. I've only read about them, never used one. I have the PT race in my garage but haven't tried it yet.

the sst is still in the gold series. is the pipe you have on now a fatty, or a gnarly? the SST probably will provide better lowend than a fatty. i was designed for across the board HP improvements but its primary improvement is mid upper. if you have a gnarly pipe on now, that would give the most lowend of the three.
