I didn't have any breaking problems, they do get grooved quick. My 86 motor(was a crate motor, raced for a short time) had a stock basket, its grooved bad. I have a 85 motor that has a good amouunt of hours on a stock basket, it has some grooves, nothing bad. Both motors had/have 310 pv's.

deathman is correct. for the time being your OEM will be ok but plan on getting an aftermarket in the future. i'd reccomend a P/E basket from MotoSport. its a good basket for the money. B)

I ran an original stock basket on my 330 for about two years. They said it had some grooves in it when the 330 kit was put on, but it could go a little longer. I took a chance and it held up okay. I'm usually not that hard on clutches. If you are real hard on it, then you might think about changing it.
