Hey guys - while cleaning my chain yesterday with a wire brush one of the o-rings came out. Is it safe to run the chain with a missing o-ring ?

In my opinion you should NEVER use a wire brush to clean your chain with. I ALWAYS use a plastic bristled brush! The wire brush WILL damage the o'rings! You can run the chain as it is, but that link will probably fail before the others. The o'rings are to hold the lubricant around the link connector pins, so no o'ring=no lube for that link!

Yea, Wont use a wire bush ever again. Need to get a plastic brush for future chains. I was planning on one more weekend with this chain before the season is up. Then a new chain for next season.
I was concerned to run it for one more weekend. Do you think it would fail in one weekend ?

Yes, you can use it, but make sure to fix it before it affects badly, for some distance it is fine.
