Well guys i am new here and also have a new 250r. Well new to me.

It needs a bit of work but nothing major, It came with a lot of extra parts 2 motors, one motor is an 88 that needs a top end rebuild and a stator. The other is an 87 that has a fresh top end and just needed a clutch basket which for the time being we stole from the 88.

It came with an extra set of A-arms, stock rear swinger, and shock, full gasket kit, 4 exhaust's 3 are fmf one is a paul turner. One FMF is brand new. came with a nice set of extra front plastics, there is more i know but ill have to go look to see.

Here is the R as is sits. It needed an engine bracket welded that had cracked but all in all its pretty good. Has Leager A-arms, Rpm axel and Swinger, works rear shock(looks like crap but should still work well) front are stock 400 ex shocks but we will try and change them out at some point

Here it is
Any advice on what i should do>? defiently needs the frame to be painted!

87 Motor all rebuilt

Looks like a good start, id start by stripping it completely down and cleaning/ inspecting everything. Id sand blast that frame, check for cracks..and have it powdercoated. Also take motor apart and inspect all bearings/seals..etc. make sure everything is good to go especially the counter balancer.

Yep i would defiently like to powercoat the frame but dont know if i will have the cash to do it, right now the 87 motor is fine thats the one in the pic, everything is good with that one, the 88 motor will be totally torn down and i will slowly build it up.

Yeah he had it up for sale a few times, i had seen it on exriders, it ended up need a clutch basket and other than that cosmetic work beside the crack on the engine mount, i paid 1500 for it 2 motors and a decent amount of extra's i didnt think it was to bad of a deal but, i will probobly end up sinking a lot more into it

Well the bike is all togeather, runs pretty good havent ridden it yet because it needs a chain slider, i found a deal for another frame so ill probobly buy that, he gave me a price of 325 for the frame including new powder, then ill use this frame for the other motor that i have and start a whole other build from scratch! I also picked up a set of works triple rates powdered to match the current frame which if i switch frames may be a bit off but still good shocks
congrates and welcome to the site.. Nice buy man..
