Hey guys, super excited to announce that after 25+ years of wanting to join the 250R club I have finally made the leap!
Bought this badboy from Greylynn Carr out of Vegas who usually builds insane drag Banshees, but over the last 10 years he has slowly pieced together this Monster of a 250R. It was definitely more than I wanted to spend LOL, but it also was the only bike I looked at that really had nothing I would change, pretty much fell in love with her immediately.

Specs:
1986 TRX 250R 431 Puma motor built by Tony Miller of Miller Racing
(Approximately 80 RWHP)
Dune Ported on VP110
LED Puma Pipe & Intake
Slingshot Clutch
+5 Stroker
41mm PWK Carburator
2001 CR 250 ignition
More Billet parts than I can count...
Full Elka Stage 4 Suspension
Roll Design Extended A-Arms
06-2014 TRX spindles
Pumashine Gussets kit
Brand NEW OEM Rear Caliper
Fireball +4 Swingarm
Brand New Bryan May Billet Linkage
Urmosi Throttle
Precision Steering Clamps (the rubber ones)
Steering Stabilizer
Roll Stem
Billet hubs
JJ&A Play axle
Duncan Bumper
Wicked Metal Design Pegs
Brand New OMF Beadlocks
Brand new Skat Trak Paddles

I basically had to knife fight an Australian Import company that tried to buy the bike out from under me, so I assume that means I got a good deal LOL.
Please let me know your thoughts! My only concerns at this point are getting it jetted correctly, as it was jetted for ~1000ft and I spend most of my time at ~2700ft with about 20% of my time between 5,000-7,000ft. My other concern is getting skid plates on this thing. The bike was actually built to be a sand only bike, but I ride about 80% dirt and trails, and only about 20% dunes, so anyone that has any suggestions on who/how to talk to to get some custom skids made please chime in. Thanks a ton guys and gals!

Beautiful R! Congrats!

As far as skids, I’m a fan of the Ballistic PRO poly full chassis skid plates.

Does your swingarm have skid plate mounts? If so, you’ll have to find out which mounts it has. If not or alternatively, you can get protection with a sprocket guard and rotor guard combo. I run a BCC sprocket guard and a Hess rotor guard.

Great info, thanks Bushwesl!
The guy who built the bike said since he was planning a duner build, he didn't order the fireball swinger with skid plate mounts, however I'm not afraid of a little drilling/tapping, so I figured I would probably reach out to Fireball and see if it's a modification I can pretty easily do myself, then order their skid.

That Ballistic skid looks perfect, I will defintely be checking them out.

That only really leaves the Roll Design A Arm bash guards as something I need to track down.

I can't wait for the weather to warm up a bit so I can get this bad boy out and really see what she can do, should be interesting as I am planning to do about 90% of my riding in the hard packed desert and woods, these days I only get to the dunes a few times a year.

For swing arm skid plate mounts it would be much better to sacrifice the pc & weld mounting tabs on it rather than drill/tap any of the chromoly tubing. It's not that thick so with the abuse a swinger skid takes it wouldn't take long before the bolts came loose if they were just threaded into the tubing.
