Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't it that as you lower the clip on the needle, the mixture is enriched, as this allows more fuel through the main jet at a given throttle position?? (especially at 3/4 to w.o.t., right??)

Yes, the lower the clip is, the richer it will be. By changing the clip position you will alter the mixture from the 1/4 - 3/4 throttle position.
