A steering stabilizer will change the handling drastically. I put a CCP on my R about 8 years ago & it was the best handling improvement I've ever done to it. The stabilizer improved handling better than the Works shocks I put on the front & back. In the dunes my R doesn't track & follow ruts anymore with the stabilizer so I don't have to fight the bars all the time.
Exact input I need because in the CA desert where I ride you have everything sand, soft dirt, ruts, small rocks, big rocks, Rocky covered trails, ruts and I will see all that in a 50-90 mile ride and that first trip out I did about 40 miles and I was exhausted. Couple of hard hits trying to keep it straight and cruising down a hard pack road with random rocks in areas was exhausting on my arms. I do plan to get a stabilizer just don’t know if I want to fork out 600$ for the precision but the adjustability of it looks nice.

I'm sure the Precision stabilizer is a very nice piece but I have never owned one so I can't speak from experience on them. For the price of the Precision though you can get 2 CCP's & have $140 left in your pocket. I have CCP's on 2 of 3 R's, one is 8 years old & the other is 6 years old. They have 8 settings using a dial & they work flawlessly. I'm getting one more for my son's R next because when I took it to the dunes for a quick day trip last fall I forgot how different they rode without a stabilizer & it beat me up so bad I had to leave early. The dunes were very rough though & its got stock suspension, plus I'm creeping up on 50.lol

BDT phone goes straight to voicemail also tried Facebook messenger which they’ve responded to me before but nothing yet. I will try harder tomorrow to get into contact.
That’s not good. You’re not the first person to have issues with BDT… I’ll send you a PM.

Like already mentioned, a stabilizer is a GAME CHANGER.

Cool I will be checking into it thanks!

So I got around to checking my toe change it changes about 1/4 of an inch I got it to change around only 1/16 now. By these measurements.

Simulating a longer shock at 19.25” though the difference was a 1/2” of toe change. Still got tinkering to do but think I’m heading into the right direction. I need to fully align it but this was just to see the toe change in relation to travel.

I agree like scrappy says, the stabilizer makes a huge difference. I also have the CCP stabilizer and it’s great. It’s made well and is adjustable.
Wether or not the Precision stab is worth the hundreds more, is debatable imo, but like I said, I only used the CCP.

Where can I find one? I can’t seem to find them

I think I'm going to get one too. I got one of my dirt bikes running again and even though it's 30 years old it's not beating me up as bad as the 250R. Of course quads weigh a lot more and hit more stuff because of all those wide tires.

Yeah plus the rear axle can only move up and down so anything you hit with one rear tire you feel it in the chassis. I’m hoping to get my 250r back to the desert when my 350 is done or at least my suspension to do more testing with a stabilizer and corrected bump steer

So after trying to reduce bump steer today I learned a few things.
1. you cannot eliminate it do to the top A Arm being shorter than the bottom and the tie rod length in relation plays a factor.
2. I drilled more holes to simulate shock length one at at 14” full compression, 15”, 16”, 18”, 18.75 and 19 full extension. After measuring all those points I was disappointed in the toe change it was quite a bit for example my 2 washers under the tie rod end at stem at 14” toe was in at 3 7/8” and full 19” extension was. 1 5/16. I removed the 2 washers and after some more tinkering I found I can only manipulate the toe change in the travel ( more toe in at top of travel or more at the bottom of travel) so I think I settled on one washer at the tie rod end of spindle (1/16” thickness) and none at the stem. At 14” I’m at 1 11/16” toe in and at 19” I’m at 1 11/16” toe in but when the tie rod is level at about 16-16.5” I’m at about 3/16 toe in. What it’s doing is when the tie rod is level and suspension is extended I get toe in. When the tie rod is level and suspension is compressed I also get toe in. This is with JD+2+1 arms. My toe is not set perfectly this was just to see the differences in travel.
3. Camber also does the same at 16” it was 3.5 degrees at full compression 5 degrees, full extension 2 degrees.
Only true way I see to get it perfect would be equal length arms and tie rods at same angles. Also got in contact with BDT everything is done minus case repair he’s having issues with welding it as far as certain areas being porous. I’ll check back with him in a few weeks.

I've never had a quad with IRS before so I'm curious to see how much better the ride is with it. I am on a reserve list for a Foreman Rubicon for farm use so when that gets here it will be interesting to see how that is. Might be kind of tough to compare though since I'm sure the suspension is softer and it looks like the thing will be lucky to hit 45 mph.
