RZ350 people love Zeels but they don't have as much of a following here. Not sure why. Is the CR map a new addition? That might make them more popular here. I guess you still don't get the smaller flywheel. Maybe that's it.

So this is all new just came out last week. For what I want I don’t want the smaller flywheel I’d rather have the better low rpm luggable engine and slightly less of a hit for the loose hard pack desert and Rocky trails but I can see where other ppl might want less flywheel weight to. Also the fact that I will be running lights, battery and possibly a small fan. I will be doing an update on what I think of it here very soon as long as I get my other motor running perfect so it will be a fair comparison to OEM.
I think there was a Zeel for the 250R before but it wasn't as advanced. Not trying to make a pun either ;)

You don't want a pod filter anyway. Jetting is too annoying and inconsistent with those. Even the snorkel is bigger than one of the two air inlets on a 1996 Corvette with an engine 22 times the size.

You have a 38mm carb right? If so that may be a little too much carb for good bottom on a quad without a big bore. Compression makes a big difference in power but it doesn't demand any larger of a carburetor. 250 dirt bikes all come stock with 38s but they don't need the bottom that a quad does. That's probably why you gotta scream it. You might go down to a 36 before your other engines get done especially if there is going to be a wait.

I think I'm going to get one too. I got one of my dirt bikes running again and even though it's 30 years old it's not beating me up as bad as the 250R. Of course quads weigh a lot more and hit more stuff because of all those wide tires.

Yeah plus the rear axle can only move up and down so anything you hit with one rear tire you feel it in the chassis. I’m hoping to get my 250r back to the desert when my 350 is done or at least my suspension to do more testing with a stabilizer and corrected bump steer
I've never had a quad with IRS before so I'm curious to see how much better the ride is with it. I am on a reserve list for a Foreman Rubicon for farm use so when that gets here it will be interesting to see how that is. Might be kind of tough to compare though since I'm sure the suspension is softer and it looks like the thing will be lucky to hit 45 mph.

Well after much research on them I decided to bite the bullet and ordered a precision pro yesterday. So hopefully this will help with some of the things I was experiencing in the desert.
I've got the CCP installed now and it is cool! It cut way down on the bars moving around so much in the rough stuff. Rough cornering is better as well. I don't pump up as much and death grip as badly. You still get shook around but then you look and your arms aren't moving because it's the rear axle bouncing off stuff. Install wasn't bad at all, though I did have to get into Dad's tools for the American bolts it comes with . I might adjust it a little tighter (it comes at 50%) but I need to get back into my woods for that test. And can't right now because they got overrun with bush honeysuckle.

So I'm curious to hear about the Precision.

So sounds like the Precision has separate high and low speed damping circuits like modern shocks. I didn't hit any surprise big stuff since I was on familiar ground but I didn't feel like the bars were much harder to turn. I hear that people who like to turn the bars while jumping don't like increased resistance on the bars but I don't jump that high (on purpose at least).

The CCP sits further back with a longer rod so it doesn't hit those bosses. I remember the CCP account wanted to know my exact year. I only saw '88-'89 on the Precision web site which influenced my decision to get the CCP since I have an '86. I feel like if the rod was longer on the Precision it could go further back and not interfere with that stuff on an '86, but if the stabilizer mount is too wide in the middle to go further back that's a tougher fix without machining.

See how much longer the rod is in the picture of their mounting kit for the 250R as opposed to the full setup? Hmm.
