No offense and not to cause a stir.....but how much do you think your Lonestar 250R is worth? An LSR frame is standard geometry, your rearend is standard link, and your front end is standard travel. Am I correct? Your bike is clean, but other than that.....you'll be an owner for life if you laugh at $5,000.

no problem your unsolicited opinion doesnt bother me 1 bit ..
& you sir can go build 1 same as mine if you like ...& then come back on here & give us all the exact amount you have spent building it ...( just let me know if want a complete list of all the pcs it took to build it)
what some may feel it is worth ..& what I would consider a fair selling price .. matters none to me

BTW I did recently sell of my machines I built that was no where close to my LSR R equal for very close 5k ;)
& so with that being as it is ...I do laugh very hard at 5k

I understood that very well .. (& you may very well find an "OK" machine for 5k)
... but obviously someone else  did NOT!!

Yeah, I tend to agree with showandgo to a point. You can find some really nice Rs out here for 5k.

Trust me, it will be much cheaper in the long run to just buy an aftermarket framed R out right. I'm currently building a LSR MX R from the frame up, and let me tell you... it ain't cheap!

As much as I find 2R's amusing, it's even funnier to me that while he can throw out pissy comments to just about any thread, as soon as someone does to him, he gets really defensive and pissy back.

:p I'll be awaiting your comments

He's been around long enough to know that it doesn't matter how much you have into it - that reflects what you can get for it.

To address Tubsymac - Odds are you can find a pretty sweet aftermarket framed 250R for 5K. It all depends on how picky you are as to whether or not it stays at 5K. If you want something that is built exactly how you want, it may be easier and actually cheaper to build from scratch then to sink 5K into something then start all over. The only thing that makes it easier is to have all the little parts.

PM me if what you are looking for as I have a couple aftermarket frames.

Thank you 250Renvy. I agree with you. As to what kind of R $5,000 will get you.....I think you could find a killer 250R for that kind of money. Aftermarket chassis and everything. My brother's full Laeger narrow Pro Trax 250R (PEP long travel front, PEP CR500 rear) and my full Roll Design Lobo 250R (Custom Axis long travel front, Custom Axis no link rear) were well under $10,000 together. Hey Dave I'm curious now, just how much do you think your 250R is worth? We could all use a laugh...
